"We Care, We Share" Medical Service

Last week, November 23, I joined a medical mission held by the church that I attended to, in partnership with an All-Filipino managed clinic called Klinika Maharlika. The mission happened in Al Meera Kitchens, a factory that my close friend's father manages. In the mission, they were given blood tests, dental consultations, bone density and BMI measurements.


Before we started, we had a quick prayer, praying that we could become a blessing to many people and show them the light of a healthy lifestyle.


Every person that joined was assigned a department/section to help out in. My other friend, my close friend and I were assigned to the giveaways. The product giveaways that we had were some Nivea sunblock, creme, In-Shower Lotion (to be honest, I'm still confused about the shower lotion), Deodorant and Anti-perspirant. My other friend, Ziv, and I helped out with packing and sorting the giveaways for males and females (my close friend, Karylle, arrived at a later time). 


To be honest, there were much more people than expected. We only had packed 200 bags (some of which tore easily) and there were many more that didn't receive any, which was slightly disappointing.



Other than that, we had a good time, talking to people about health being the only wealth we get to keep with us until the end.

This is my first blog post on here too! We haven't been able to get my school books just yet, so while we were waiting, Ms. Mogatas (a friendly teacher that helped us choose our books) told us [my mom and I] to start up with Khan Academy , other websites and with my Art Elective, Oil Painting. "Tree" Planting in Fujairah

Yesterday, my mom brought my sisters and I to an activity organized by our church to visit Fujairah and plant some trees. We went on a bus and traveled to Fujairah. The ride was an hour and a half long. It was half an hour longer than expected because someone asked to be dropped off to their house since they've forgotten some of our churchmates' T-shirts. When we arrived, our pastor has already arrived, seemingly long before we have. We were assigned to put three plants into their respective pits. Unfortunately, it seems that people have already placed many plants into the pre-digged holes, so we were only able to place one plant ourselves. For the other three that we were given the chance to "plant," we just placed two of our placards on already-planted ones that weren't given a "name" yet. Getting Ready for Badminton

Badminton: one of those friendly sports where you can pack up the rackets and shuttlecocks then play it in the park. I have fond memories playing this with my family and friends. But maybe you've wondered if there are actual rules to this game. As a matter of fact, yes, there is. Badminton is just like any popular sport. It has its own set of rules as well. And today I will share how to handle the racket correctly. So, how is a badminton racket properly handled? For a forehand position, imagine shaking someone's hand. Notice how the man on the right's index finger is slightly higher up. Now, for a backhand position, the thumb is important here.
